A marketing campaign aimed at informing Croatian farmers about the Common Agricultural Policy won a prestigious 2nd place out of 118 nominated projects at the CAP Communication Awards 2013.
KING ICT, Ekotoxa, and Sinergise carried out an IPA 2007 technical assistance project “Capacity Building of the Croatian Paying Agency” financed by the EU. Within the project an informative campaign for farmers about the Common Agricultural Policy was carried out, a campaign which was awarded second place by the European Commission in the category of Communication with the Public at the CAP Communication Awards, competing amongst 118 projects.
During 2012 and 2013, the campaign “European Future of Croatian Farmers” was informing Croatian farmers about the Common Agricultural Policy, which makes up for more than 40% of the annual budget of the EU. The campaign was very informative and had a wide audience, using leaflets, brochures, posters, public information films, and a documentary feature film.
Besides the implementation of the campaign, as part of the overall project, KING ICT - together with partners from Croatia and abroad - implemented a system for the allocation, monitoring, and control over payments to farmers and trained more than 600 employees of the Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development to use the system. In addition, more than 800 farmers were educated about the requirements for cross compliance.
