At the European Regional Social Security Forum held in Stockholm from 18 to 20 April 2016, KING ICT’s ERPS solution for the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute received special recognition from the independent international award committee.
The Regional Social Security Forum is organised by the International Social Security Association (ISSA). Innovations and good practices which demonstrate the commitment of European social security institutions to excellence in managing social security systems are the key focus of the Forum. The event is considered to be the central platform for the exchange of relevant information and analyses of the current state and practices used in managing social security in Europe.
Awards and recognition for good practices are given out over a three-year period and constitute the main part of the Forum proceedings. This year, 27 organisations from 19 countries applied for the Good Practice Award with a total of 71 projects. Ireland’s Department of Social Protection won the main award for its social security and employment service integration project.
KING ICT’s ERPS solution for the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute was one of the top 12 projects that received special recognition from the awards committee.
What is ERPS?
ERPS (Evidencija o radno-pravnom statusu) allows users to request and receive a legal employment status certificate electronically, via a digitally signed PDF file that can be printed out and additionally verified for authenticity over a public web platform. The solution was devised as an upgrade to the existing system of electronic record management used by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, also implemented by KING ICT.
The electronic document is one of the new functions of the record management system and has been implemented in accordance with the current legal framework regulating the use of electronic documents, as well as the Regulation on Organisational and Technical Standards for Connecting to the Public Information Infrastructure.
One of the key aims of the project was to integrate several technical and organisational components (ESUD, the Pension Insurance Institute’s web page and the active user database) currently used by the Institute into a single service.
The solution presents one of the most important steps in the modernisation of the Institute’s infrastructure. It simplifies complicated administrative procedures and speeds up the relevant processes, ultimately improving the end user experience. The significant advantages delivered by the new system have been recognised by the ISSA Awards Committee.
The implementation of KING ICT’s electronic record management solution was done in cooperation with Aktivis, a KING ICT Group company that specialises in DMS solutions.
