The consortium of KING ICT Skopje, KING ICT Zagreb and Aktivis has entered into a contract with the Macedonian Ministry of Information Society and Administration for the upgrade, software maintenance and support to Document Management System.
• The value of the project is EUR 2.9 million.
• The Macedonian state administration will automatize and modernize their work processes.
The consortium of KING ICT Skopje, KING ICT Zagreb and Aktivis have won the public tender and contracted with the Macedonian Ministry of Information Society and Administration for the upgrade, software maintenance and support to Document Management System.
The project is managed by the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, but the solution will be used by dozens of government institutions, ministries and agencies, overall 10,000 users.
The contract was made on 4 September 2012 and its value is MKD 179.1 million or EUR 2.9 million. The contract was signed for a 4-year term.
This is the first KING’s project on maintenance of Document Management System in Macedonia. In the project development, know how acquired in major projects in Croatia is used. The consortium experts will upgrade and improve the system and significantly increase its level of utilisation.
Electronic document management
The government administration institutions will automatize and modernise their work processes by application of information and communication technologies. The aim is to transform them into efficient and transparent institutions. There will be no more forgotten cases in drawers, as the movements of documents will be monitored electronically. At all times, minister or another responsible person will be able to follow from their computer how the cases are being resolved, who is working on a case and whether the deadlines have been missed, which shall definitely be reflected on the quality and speed of resolving the cases.
The existing DMS (Document Management System) working on EMC Documentum is upgraded to EMC Documentum xCelerated Composition Platform (xCP).
That will improve automation and management of work processes involving people, information and systems. Also, the new interface will be enabled through EMC Documentum Taskspace addressing the user productivity and agility, providing configurable user interface connecting the process, contents and control.
