Michael Bolton started his career as a program manager at Quadratec and Norton. Quadratec is known to PC users for its QEMM memory manager. In it’s time it was virtually the world’s best-selling software that started upon boot up of literally every PC.
For the past 20 years, Michael is a consultant in testing which gave him the opportunity to work with a number of well-known companies. He is a co-author of Agile Testing and How To Reduce the Cost of Software Testing and author of a whole host of articles on testing in Better Software Magazine and other professional publications. Michael is among the most influential testers in the world.
He co-authored Rapid Software Testing (RST) methodology with James Bach. During the last twenty years, Michael has presented Rapid Software Testing course in over 30 countries around the world on five continents. He is a frequent guest at conferences and has coached lectures at all major test conferences such as STARWest, STAREast, EUROStar, expo:QA, etc.

The coursework is done on computers. The recommended operating system is the newer version of MS Windows. The host will equip the classroom with a certain number of computers, but the participants are advised to bring their own laptops.

It is an annual conference on software testing, each year in the different city. Also, there are Testival meetups organized frequently in several Croatian cities.
