The 20th CEESCA conference will be held in Dubrovnik from September 12th to September 14th.
The conference is organised by the eponymous Central Eastern European Smart Card Association, which brings together leading representatives from the banking and financial sectors, mobile operators, trader and credit card company representatives and representatives from the transport and general government sectors, as well as all interested members of the so-called Smart industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
KING ICT will be presenting the implementation of a new ticketing system at the conference together with HŽ Putnički prijevoz (Croatian Railways Passenger Transport) as the contracting entity. The project provides a modernised ticketing channel that, in addition to points of sale, enables online ticket purchase via the HŽPP's website or smart phone. Another mode of payment that will be presented at the conference are the vending machines where users can purchase tickets via credit card.
The most interesting aspect of this project and the main reason why it will be presented at the CEESCA conference is the fact that it will allow HŽ Putnički to provide a modernised ticketing channel by replacing paper tickets with smart cards.
Tomislav Šabić, director of sales and marketing at HŽ Putnički prijevoz and Oliver Smolčić, business development manager at KING ICT, will be giving a presentation during which they will provide a detailed technical description of the system and the business benefits that arise from it.
