We supported the AI BattleGround competition

12 student teams spent a sleepless night competing in the AIBG (Artificial Intelligence BattleGround) competition. KING ICT supported this interesting and dynamic competition as a Golden Partner.

This student developer competition where student teams design and mutually confront artificial intelligences was held on 11 and 12 December 2016 at the HUB 385 Innovation Center in Zagreb. The competition was organized by the BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) Zagreb student organization.

Assigned to 12 different teams, students of the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing were given the task of developing a video game on the subject of space within 20 hours. After a sleepless night, 12 representatives of IT companies, including those from KING ICT, came to see the best ideas and teams.

The representatives of KING ICT participated in this event in different ways. Nives Bučić, Manager of the .Net Department, made a presentation titled “Our Software Factory” where she explained what we do in the KING ICT Software Division and how we do it and also presented the award to the third-ranked team during the formal awards ceremony. The informal part of the competition provided an opportunity for a talk between KING ICT’s representatives and students.

Partnership with BEST Zagreb

BEST Zagreb, the organizer of the AI BattleGround, is a volunteer nonprofit student organization that has been active for almost 17 years. It is now present at almost all technical and technological faculties under the University of Zagreb and has become known as one of the strongest and most active local BEST groups in Europe thanks to their proactivity.

As a Golden Partner to BEST Zagreb, KING ICT will for one year be able to participate in all activities undertaken by this student organization (seminars, engineering and developer competitions on local and international levels) by presenting the company and maintaining contacts with students/prospective employees.

This yearlong cooperation also provides for collaboration on KING ICT’s projects including promotion of the company among students and promotion at all technical faculties under the University of Zagreb, at the Student Center, and at campuses.

We are looking forward to our cooperation, establishing new contacts and providing new possibilities both for KING ICT and students.
